R.F. WELFARE PLAN UPDATE:
Mercer sold their Benefit Administration business to Morneau Shepell. The administration of Rocky Flats Retiree healthcare was part of that sale which also included most employees of Mercer being offered positions with Morneau Shepell. Letters were sent to all plan participants.

RRA Primer

RRA ACCOUNT

If your RRA account fund goes to zero before the end of the year and the reimbursement requests continue, the account will hold those requests until more funds are deposited at the beginning of the year. Those requests will then be sent and that year’s fund will now be less for that year’s reimbursements. This can snow ball year after year. It is up to each member to manage the healthcare plan premium to make the best use of the total RRA fund available.

Is Plan F Going away??

Plan F is going away.
False.

The Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA) of 2015 is phasing out Medicare Supplement Plan C and Plan F that cover the Part B deductible for anyone eligible for Medicare after January 1st, 2020.

How does this affect your retirees?

Already enrolled in Plan C or Plan F? These retirees can simply keep Plan C or Plan F beyond January 1, 2020.

Turned 65 prior to January 1, 2020? These retirees can continue to enroll in, change to, and/or keep Plan C or Plan F beyond January 1, 2020.

Turning 65 after January 1, 2020? These retirees cannot enroll in Plan C or Plan F beyond January 1, 2020, unless they have a Medicare Part A effective date prior to January 1, 2020.

Stay one step ahead with Plan G.

AARP® Medicare Supplement Insurance Plan G, insured by UnitedHealthcare Insurance Company (UnitedHealthcare), covers the same benefits as Plan F with the exception of the Medicare Part B annual deductible. Plus, Plan G will be available in all states (except waiver states MA, MN and WI) this year.
